Biography

   He is from Kolkata and has done his B. Com. from St. Xaviers College, Kolkata. In 2003, he was chosen as the Face of the Year-Kolkata. Then he attended a couple of acting workshops with Samrat Mukherjee and Nishi Arora (Kalawati Academy). In 2004, he won the Zee Cine Star Ki Khoj. After that he came to Mumbai and since then his work is being managed by Israni Communications (Raj and Amita Israni). He did a lot of ads prominent among them being ads for P.C.Chandra (was the first male model to have done a jewellery campaign). Then he did ads for National Insurance, Life Insurance Corporation, Peerless Insurance. The latest advertisement of mine that is being aired on TV is the one he did for EXIDE Batteries. He also played a role in Sony TV's Kabhie To Nazar Milao.

   Then he went into Banoo Main Teri Dulhann and during Banoo Main Teri Dulhann he also went into a reality show called Yeh Hai Jalwa. After Yeh Hai Jalwa Sharad has said that he will not do anymore reality shows because they are too "real" for him, he prefers "reel" life more than "real" life.

   He has been a model and Television for a while now and is wanting to move into movies, and he says that when he leaves Banoo Main Teri Dulhann he might go into Bollywood.

   After Banoo Main Teri Dulhann ended Sharad Malhotra went to NYFA (New York Film Academy)
